In other team news, this win at Villa Rica handed Rome head coach John Reid his 100th win at Rome High. This Milestone was done in less than a 10 year span which is unheard of and is certainly one reason why Reid is one of if not the best head coach in the state of Georgia.

Reid came into Rome in 2015 and won back to back state titles in 2016 and 2017 while going on a 40 game winning streak. The team set the all-time state scoring record in 2017 scoring the most points in a single season with an avg of 50+ points per game and with a defense that held teams under an avg of 10 points a game.

Those teams are highly regarded as one of the states greatest teams in history and the winning didn’t stop there. Last season Rome had the number 1 ranked defense in the state along with an offense that put up an avg of 50 points a game.

Rome has been dominate year in and year out and with many unforeseen circumstances early this season and young faces at currently at Rome, it doesn’t look to slow down anytime soon.
